This beautiful, untreated, unique and elegant pendant features a gorgeous Orange Confetti Sunstone gemstone secured in an intricate copper wire weave frame: wire wrapped in the form of a rhombus.
A gorgeous Swarovsi crystal bead dance dangling from the bail with a colorful fire dispersion. The rich beautiful fire dispersion of the crystal bead so closely resembles a genuine Diamond. The many different colours of light comes out sparkling from inside the small crystal. It is an eye-catching beauty which gives this pendant an elegant, luxurious and sophisticated look and touch.
I oxidized and polished this one-of-a-kind pendant to give more definition to the gemstone colours and give it an antique classic look. I also handweaved a unique copper wire clasp.
Sunstone
Sunstone displays a glow that originates from inside the gemstone known as aventurescence or Shiller effect. This optical phenomenon is caused by inclusions composed of hematite or goethite which vary in size and density.
Sunstone is a transparent gemstone with colourful metallic flakes of hematite, goethite, pyrite and sometimes copper inclusions that shimmers from the inside. The colours reflected by the inclusions include gold, red, orange and yellow.
Sunstone is linked to the sun's energy. It gives good luck, good fortune, motivation, self-confidence, joy, manifestation and heightens intuition. It boosts leadership qualities in the wearer.
Swarovski Crystal
Swarovski Crystal is a glass created at high temperatures. This crystal is precision cut and polished to give it a high quality finish and further enhaced by coating the glass with an Aurora Borealis or AB coating that produces in the crystal a rainbow like appearance simulating the fire dispersion effect of a diamond.
Swarovski crystal has a hardness ranging from 6 to 7 on the Mohs scale which makes it harder than normal glass. The refraction index of Swarovski Crystal ranges from 1.5 to 1.7 which gives each crystal a more sparkly appearance. (Note, the refractive index of diamond is 2.24).
