This pendant is beautifully wrapped in pure copper wire in the shape of a lotus.
This is a fairly new type of Turquoise known as "Mojave turquoise" (spelled also as Mohave) or "Copper Turquoise". It is made up of natural turquoise that is polymer bonded with other minerals such as pyrite and copper. The colors purple, green, red and orange in the turquoise are produced by adding colors to the polymer.
The Gemological Institute of America in 2010 concluded in their examination of this new turquoise that it was genuine. Whether dyed or not, the end product is considered a genuine turquoise.
This stone comes in a mosaic of beautiful royal vibrant colors of pink, purple and blue.
Mohave Turquoise is sourced from the Kingman Mining District of Arizona’s Mohave County in the United States.
